Company Profile
CEO / President
John has been a business owner for over 35 years. He has also been a top-level construction manager, directing over 5,000 successful projects. He has comprehensive experience in the Asbestos Industry since 1978. In May of 1988 he founded Contractors Abatement in Phoenix, AZ and as CEO he requires his company to uphold the highest standards in the industry. He is the qualifying party for 4 of Contractors Abatement contracting licenses. Mr. Witt also our Senior Sales Manager and overseas the sale on a daily basis, he manages long term goals and Planning Strategy.
CFO
Graduated from Ohio University in 1995 with a Bachelors Degree in Finance. Extensive background in construction for over 15 years. CFO level in General Construction for over 5 years and overseas all phases of the accounting and financing here at Contractors Abatement Services, Inc. Chris works directly with John Witt in the financial decision for Contractors Abatement.
Vice President / Operations Manager
Bernadette has over 10 years of experience in the construction industry. She has attended OSHA/EPA training courses and facilitates OSHA/EPA compliance. As the Operations Manager she reports daily to the President regarding New Sales Projects and information pertaining to on-going Asbestos, Lead, and Microbial Projects. She also handles HR duties with the help of her staff.
Estimator / Project Manager
Shawn has been with the company for nearly 10 years. He has been in the working in the construction industry for over 20 years. He has first hand knowledge and experience with designing and implementing abatement engineering controls, personnel safety and client needs. He has extensive knowledge of specific construction codes, standards, and practices as a result of diligent involvement with all facets of the industry.
Estimator / Project Manager
Gary has over 20 years of construction experience. He has performed managerial and skilled tradesman tasks in multiple facets of construction. Gary has worked as a superintendent building homes in multiple neighborhoods, owned his construction business, and has valuable experience as project manager and estimator.
Warehouse Manager
Roger has 25 years of experience in the industry. He supplies materials and equipment to our field Supervisors. He is in charge of ordering materials, and taking care of what is needed on job sites. Mr. Bergeson has been working for Contractors Abatement for 5 years.
Asbestos Superintendent
Marco has been a stellar employee of Contractors Abatement since he joined us in 2000. Mr. Escobar has over 15 years of experience in Asbestos, Lead, and Microbial Abatement. He oversees 7 Supervisors and 50 General Laborers. He also finishes the projects on time or ahead of schedule with strict compliance to EPA/OSHA regulations.
Demolition Superintendent
Travis has been with Contractors Abatement for over 15 years. He is a Demolition Superintendent and Equipment Operator. He is in charge of our Demolition Division and Performance and Production of all Demo Crews.

TI/ Remodel Superintendent
Mr. Scaffidi has over 10 years experience in TI/Remodel. He owned his own Concrete Company in Ohio for over 5 years until relocating to Phoenix. He oversees more than one project on a daily basis. He has 20 men on his crews, is very well organized and is a very detailed person. Charles does well with small and large projects.
